Leadership Saginaw Alumni invite you and your school district to participate in the 7th Annual Jr. Leadership Saginaw Program. The mission of Jr. Leadership Saginaw is to EXPOSE participants to various aspects of Saginaw County - its history, government, diversity and culture; to encourage students to SHARE their unique perspectives on life in the Saginaw Valley, and most importantly, to inspire graduates to CONTRIBUTE to the betterment of their communities.

You can become a part of this program by completing this application, and committing to the following six sessions of leadership development:

  • Orientation Day
  • History/Students Helping People Day
  • Arts & Culture/Education Day
  • Diversity Day
  • Law and Government Day
  • Graduation

Jr. Leadership Saginaw will select up to twenty-six 8th and 10th grade students from throughout Saginaw County to participate in the program. If you are selected to participate, your school will receive a confirmation letter and a request for payment of the $100 enrollment fee. Jr. Leadership Saginaw seeks a diverse group of students, including students with the potential to be leaders. Students must have the full support of their school and parents.

Attendance is mandatory for all six sessions.

I understand the mission of the Jr. Leadership Program. If selected, I will commit myself to keeping my grades up in school, becoming a leader of tomorrow and attending all six sessions of the Jr. Leadership Saginaw Program.
